Dr. Anees Ahmad

Anees Ahmad, MD.

CEO AND FOUNDER

Dr. Anees Ahmad earned his medical degree in 1996 from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan. After practicing medicine for several years in Pakistan, he immigrated to the United States in 2001. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Saint Vincent Catholic Medical Center, Staten Island, NY, in 2005, and is board certified in Internal Medicine.

From 2002 to 2010, Dr. Ahmad practiced medicine in upstate New York. In 2010, he moved to Buffalo, where he served as a hospitalist at South Buffalo Mercy Hospital and Buffalo General Hospital until 2021.

In 2020, Dr. Ahmad founded WNY House Physician, PLLC, a home-based primary care practice dedicated to elderly and homebound patients. Through this model of care, he brings quality healthcare directly to patients in the comfort of their homes, aiming to improve health outcomes, enhance quality of life, reduce healthcare costs, and raise patient satisfaction. His vision is to expand home-based primary care services nationwide.

Dr. Ahmad has extensive experience across diverse healthcare settings, including home care, inpatient and outpatient medicine, academic institutions, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and community health centers. He also serves as volunteer faculty at the University at Buffalo, mentoring residents and medical students in home-based patient care.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Ahmad is actively engaged in his community. He has served on the Membership Committee of the Country Club of Buffalo and currently contributes to Nardin Academy as a member of the Executive Committee of NAPA-US (Nardin Academy Parents Association – Upper School), where he serves as Secretary. He is also Chair of the Nardin Academy Leadership Council and has also served on Nardin Academy Presidential Advisory Committee.

In addition, Dr. Ahmad is the Co-Founder of Patronage Inc., a nonprofit organization established to support WNY House Physician patients with financial healthcare needs.

Outside of his professional and community commitments, Dr. Ahmad enjoys golf, tennis, swimming, clay shooting, bowling, and hunting. He is also passionate about reading and traveling.
